Innovative project at “ASAN Service” centers for the elections to the Milli Majlis

An innovative and effective solution is being implemented at “ASAN Service” centers to better ensure citizens’ voting rights in the upcoming extraordinary elections to the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, scheduled for September 1, 2024.

This innovative solution is carried out within the framework of a joint project between the Central Election Commission and “ASAN Service”.

By scanning their ID cards at the “Check Voter Status” functional sector available on the “ASAN Queue” terminals at the centers, citizens  can verify their names in the voter lists and identify their respective electoral district and polling station.

If the information is not reflected in the system, citizens can immediately contact the Central Election Commission by entering their contact details on a new screen.

Throughout the day, about 40,000 citizens apply to “ASAN Service”.  While obtaining queue tickets, they can simultaneously use this system to quickly confirm where they should cast their votes.
