Ethiopian Minister at “ASAN Service”
As part of his participation in the 58th session of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Prosecutors, a delegation led by Tesfaye Vakjira, State Minister of the Ministry of Justice of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia visited the “ASAN Service” center to get acquainted with its activities.
The guests were provided with detailed information about the various activities of the State Agency, including the “ASAN Service” centers established based on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev and the projects implemented in the field of social innovations. It was noted that the establishment of “ASAN service” has led to significant achievements in ensuring effective public administration, particularly in terms of increasing transparency and implementing modern innovations. İt was also highlighted that the State Agency received the United Nations (UN) Public Service Award in 2015, the UN Special Award for the development of public services through digital governance in 2019, and the “Global Government Excellence Award” in 2023. Within the framework of this award program, the State Agency was recognized as the "World's Most Advanced Public Service". The successful implementation of the “ASAN service” model in various countries was also emphasized.
The Ethiopian delegation expressed that the “ASAN service” center left a strong impression on them and stated their satisfaction with the cooperation between their country's government agencies and the State Agency.
The guests also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the activities of the “INNOLAND” Incubation and Acceleration Center, the Mobile “ASAN Service”, and the “ABAD” public legal entity.
It should be noted that on May 14, 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the State Agency and the Ethiopian Civil Service Commission regarding the implementation of the “ASAN service” concept in Ethiopia. Currently, work is underway within the framework of implementation of the memorandum.
