The "ASAN Service" concept to be ımplemented in Pakistan


From September 8 to 10, a delegation headed by Ulvi Mehdiyev, the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited Islamabad at the invitation of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

During this visit, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, welcomed the delegation led by Chairman Ulvi Mehdiyev and presided over a meeting of the Government of Pakistan focused on the establishment of the "ASAN Service" center. A presentation regarding the "ASAN Service" concept, which is set to be implemented in Pakistan, was conducted during the meeting.

The Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan remarked that the "ASAN Service" center, initiated by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, left a significant impression on him. He highlighted that a similar initiative would represent a transformative advancement in the provision of public services in Pakistan. The Prime Minister also noted that the "ASAN Service" initiative would contribute to the Government of Pakistan's policy of promoting a "cashless economy" and, after the capital city of Islamabad, will be rolled out in additional cities and provinces.

Expressing his appreciation to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the anticipated support in establishing the "ASAN Service" center in Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized that this project will further enhance economic collaboration between the two nations.

Following the meeting attended by Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the "Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Implementing the Experience of “ASAN Service” in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan" was signed. The agreement aims to initiate the operations of the "ASAN Service" center in Pakistan in the near future.

As part of the visit's agenda, the Chairman of the State Agency met with the Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunications of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Additionally, an assessment of the infrastructure for the designated building for the "ASAN Service" center was conducted.

During his visit to Pakistan, the Chairman of the State Agency also visited the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, where he paid tribute by laying flowers at the monument of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev. Khazar Farhadov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, participated in the events and meetings throughout the visit.
